I had to learn French in school and I hated it. Years later, I moved to France and tried learning the language again as an adult. I was working full-time, feeling overwhelmed, and constantly embarrassed that I still couldn’t speak fluently.
I went through all the struggles you're going through now:

I’m a bit hesitant to invest in a Dutch course
Fair question, especially if you've already tried apps or courses that didn't stick. Here's what makes this different: during the week you learn the grammar and vocabulary through short videos at your own pace, and in the weekly live class (maximum 6 students at your level) you actually speak Dutch with a teacher who corrects you on the spot. That combination is why our students start speaking from week one instead of just understanding. If you show up to class and do the weekly work, speaking Dutch is the outcome this program is built around. Not sure about your level or the format? Which level should I join?
Take our free 5-minute language test: learndutchwithyas.com/downloads/language-test. You'll know your exact level right away. After you sign up we double-check your placement, and if a group turns out too easy or too hard we simply switch you to another level. You'll never be stuck in the wrong group.
Which hours can I join?
You can see all current groups, days, times and start dates on our lesson schedule page: learndutchwithyas.com/learn-dutch/lesson-schedules. Every group runs for 13 weeks with a fixed start date and a maximum of 6 students per group, so popular time slots fill up first. If you see a group that fits your schedule, that's the one to grab. After signing up you pick your exact group, and we confirm your spot by email.
What if I cannot attend every week?
Missing one or two classes isn’t a big problem. We record all the classes so you can rewatch it afterwards. I wouldn’t postpone learning Dutch, and taking ACTION because you cannot be there for one or two classes. You can always ask questions in the group chat or next class when you didn’t understand a certain part of the class.
I need to do the inburgering exam, will this prepare me for the exam?
Yes! The course will help you to achieve great results with inburgering exams.

I’m afraid I can’t keep up with the other students
That's a common worry, and it's exactly why our groups have a maximum of 6 students at the same level. Classes move at a pace everyone can follow. If your level turns out too high or too low, we can switch you to another group. Can I have Private classes too?
Yes! You can join the group program and add private classes for extra speaking practice or exam prep. You can find everything about our private classes here: learndutchwithyas.com/learn-dutch/private-classes-all-levels. Or just mention it after signing up and we'll set it up for you.
Is one live class per week enough?
The live class is the speaking part, not the whole program. During the week you learn the grammar and vocabulary through the self-paced videos (2 to 3 hours in total), and in the weekly live class you put it into practice out loud with your teacher. That combination is why our students start speaking from week one instead of just understanding Dutch.
How will I learn the right pronunciation?
How many students are in a group?
Maximum 6, always at the same level. That way everyone gets to speak in every single class.
What happens after I sign up?
You get an email right away to pick your group and time slot, and you get instant access to the video course and our community. So you can already start learning before your first live class.
When does the next group start?
Groups run in fixed 13-week rounds. You can find the next start dates on our lesson schedule page: learndutchwithyas.com/learn-dutch/lesson-schedules. Seats are capped at 6 per group, so if the next start date works for you, don't wait too long to claim your spot.
I live outside Europe. Are there groups in my timezone?

Can my employer pay for the classes?
